Pollinators are responsible for pollinating one in every three bites of food we eat. Without pollinators, our global food system collapses. Bee populations are declining at alarming rates due to pesticides, climate change, and habitat loss.
This March, I (Zach Choboter) will attempt the impossible: becoming the first human to inline skate around Earth—30,000 kilometres across 27 countries—to raise $1 million for pollinator protection and world hunger relief.
Here's the truth: whether you're in a penthouse or struggling to make rent, whether you live in Vancouver or a village halfway around the world—everyone needs food. And food needs bees!
This is Blading For Bees Earth.
If you'd like to partner or sponsor our team, please email [email redacted] or reach out in any way possible. We offer receipts for sponsors and direct donations through our NPO.
In 2020, I "won the lottery of friendship" and met a group of people who changed my life. They taught me that community is important, that we need to take care of the bees, and showed me about adventure. This led me to set off on a record-breaking journey across Canada. Three months and 10,093 km later, with the heroic help of Rachel Choboter, we landed in Quidi Vidi, Newfoundland. We must now do all we can to save the bees!
Since that moment, Blading For Bees has grown into something we are all incredibly proud of—a full-fledged organization with the sole goal of helping bees all over the world. Our team takes on epic adventures on inline skates to show what we're willing to do to help the bees.
Now, we're taking our mission global. The Blading For Bees journey is built on proven endurance and meticulous planning from our previous records. We've established partnerships with leading environmental and humanitarian organizations and assembled a dedicated team of travellers, remote coordinators, filmmakers, and medical professionals. We've implemented rigorous safety protocols, secured visa arrangements, and developed strategic media partnerships.
We have the plans in place and realize that we need good people to come together to make something beautiful happen and change the world for the better. "When the tide comes in, all boats rise." This money is greatly appreciated and will go towards the Blading For Bees Foundation. Please check out our website if you'd like to learn exactly how the money will be divided among the Non-Profit partners and the trip.
