On Tuesday, June 29th, my brother Michael (Mick) Burgesser- a full time firefighter for London County, VA and part time for two MD fire departments, was flown to MedStar Burn Center in Washington, DC with severe burns after responding to a call in Hagerstown, MD. He was able to self-extricate from the fire after the structure collapsed and he fell in to a void space where the other firefighters could not reach him. Almost 20% of his body is covered with first, second and third degree burns. After skin surgery he will have a long road to recovery.

He’s a father to two little ones and works hard to provide for his family. Anyone who has met or knows Mick can’t help but love him ❤️. Please consider donating anything you can to help his family during his stay at the hospital and during his recovery!
