Mark and Lyudmila came to the United States with no money while Lyudmila was 8 months pregnant. They built the life they have now from nothing, and now they are left with almost nothing. On July 13, the couple's Poway home burnt down in an accident. It is still undetermined how the fire started, but what it left in it's wake is devastating.
The home is deemed a loss and needs to be completely rebuilt. It’s uninhabitable causing the family to be without a home for the next 6-12 months. Insurance will only cover the structural damage, leaving the family on their own for removal of all debris, replacement flooring, walls etc. The money raised will go straight towards the replacement of what is not considered structural by insurance as well as all essential items that were lost in the fire.
We are asking for help for this strong couple because they won't ask for it themselves. They are both incredibly hard working and never ask anyone for help, let alone for money. After this fire, however, they desperately need all of the help they can get. In addition to this, Lyudmila struggles with an autoimmune disease on a daily basis and this financial stress is the last thing she needs to worry about as she battles health challenges and copes with the incredible loss of her home.
Any contribution for this family is greatly appreciated. They love the community they live in, the people they've met, and are dreaming of the day that they can return to their home of 15 years.
