Fire recovery for Trinity UMC, Stahlstown

On Sunday, December 4th, the fire whistle sounded as smoke poured out of Trinity United Methodist. This church has been a mainstay in the community since 1890. The firefighters did a great job, and the structure is still sound, but the sanctuary will need to be completely refurbished. There is excessive smoke, fire and water damage throughout the inside. Our insurance folks have been great, but we all know that insurance doesn't always cover all that needs to be done; we are hoping and praying that the community, far and near, may step up and assist financially in this rebuild. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for this community and us as we come together in this endeavor.
