Fire Rebuilding Fund Ukiah Gilliam & Family

Hello everyone one of our neighbors Ukiah Gilliam and the co-admin for the FB Group Minorities and Allies of Mesquite has lost her home to a devastating fire in the midst of this terrible snow storm in Texas. Everyone is still in shock and not sure what is needed at this point but we know they are going to need so many things including immediately replacing food, shelter and clothing for Ukiah, her husband and 7 children. The kids have to return to school and their laptops have been destroyed. The house is a total loss. If anyone knows of a rental, please message this post. Please consider donating to this family. Ukiah   has done so much for many of the disenfranchised in Mesquite. Ukiah most recently has been working tirelessly to encourage People of Color to run for local elections. Ukiah advocates within her FB group for All communities and specifically those of color, LGBT and all Allies that desire to make Mesquite a more welcoming community to all.


Right now just sweatsuits or long sleeve for everyone are needed along with socks, underwear, hats, gloves, coats until stable housing is secured. Thank you
