Fire District 3 Fundraiser for Courageous Keaton!
Donation protected
Please join us in fundraising for our local friend, Keaton.
Due to COVID-19, we are unable to host our annual pancake breakfast as planned. However, we still want to come together as a community to raise money for our planned recipient, Keaton.
Courageous Keaton was first diagnosed with infant Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of 11 months. He had a bone marrow transplant at 14 months old with his older brother as a donor. He stayed in remission for four and a half years but then was diagnosed with secondary Acute Myeloid leukemia at the age of five and a half. He received another bone marrow transplant and this time his two-year-old sister was the donor. Again Keaton stayed in remission for almost 5 years until January 2019. At 10 years old he relapsed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was given a new innovative treatment called CAR T cell therapy. He and his family were very hopeful that this would be the cure once and for all. Unfortunately, 10 months after treatment he relapsed again on January 11th, 2020 and is now fighting leukemia for the 4th time in his short 10 and a half years of life. Keaton is being treated with high dose chemotherapy in the hopes of getting him into remission so they can move forward with a cord blood transplant.
