FAMILY OF FOUR AND DOG DISPLACED FROM HOME AFTER EARLY MORNING FIRE
Many of you know the Luyber family from Florence. Tim, Barb, their two girls and dog Marley. On July 13th, they lost everything to an early morning fire. Barb and the girls were down the shore with family celebrating her Mom’s Birthday. Tim, like most mornings was up and out the house during the early hours commuting to work. Fortunately, these circumstances kept the family safe from harm during this unfortunate event. Marley, though was home at the time of the incident. The Florence Fire Department quickly began to extinguish the fire. During their search of the home they came across Marley in the bedroom. Marley was unconscious and experiencing labored breathing. The Firefighters quickly removed Marley from the hazardous environment and placed her on oxygen. Quick thinking by the Florence Township Police Department and Animal Control Officer rushed Marley to a nearby Animal Hospital. Initially thought to be ok, Marley continues to be kept at the hospital due to the amount of smoke she had inhaled. Her breathing continues to be an issue. Once allowed back in the home it was realized that Tim and Barb were at a near total loss of all of their belongings. Though the fire was quickly extinguished the smoke and water damage throughout the home ruined everything from their clothes, furniture and toys for the children. Tim and Barb could graciously use all of our help financially to get them back on their feet. You don’t realize how much you have lost until its all gone. They need to start from the ground up including everything from everyday clothing, work clothes, children’s clothes, toiletries, furniture, toys to name a few. Then there is the quickly growing bill at the Animal Hospital. As of this morning the bill was already over $4,000. We thank you in advance for any assistance you can be in helping the Luyber family. We are very grateful for any donation that you can provide and a share of this story.
