Hi there! My name is Drew Burnett Gregory and I'm a trans woman filmmaker raising post-production funds for a short film I wrote, directed, and starred in. 'Chloe and Jame' is about two transfeminine people confronting their personal history and the histories that shaped them. We shot in February on 16mm with a mostly trans crew.

This money will be going to picture editing, sound editing, music, color correction, and festival fees.

Since transitioning in 2017, the money I used to spend on my art started going toward health care and life. It's why I turned toward writing — directing is expensive, writing is free. I've managed to make a couple no-budget shorts over the past few years, but this is my first time as a trans filmmaker deciding a script I wrote needed proper resources. It was also important to me to work with trans crew — and pay them.

I'm so grateful to my friend Brittani Nichols for executive producing this film and making production possible. I'm also grateful to everyone who helped out and gave a bunch of queers the chance to make a movie the way it wanted to be made. Now I just need a little bit more, so we can approach post-production with the same care that we approached our shoot.
