Finding Hope with Fashion Debt Relief

Most of you know me, but for those who don't, my name is Jacki, and I'm the Co-founder and President of Finding Hope with Fashion. Over the past 12 years, we've raised funds and awareness for many charitable organizations. We've never taken a cent in return; it's all been done out of a desire to give back.

Unfortunately, the last three years have not been kind to any of us, and FHWF was no exception. I, along with the Board of Directors, have been doing everything in our power to keep things up and running while we tried to push forward with the hopes of returning to in-person shows when it was safe. This includes paying for everything from venue and production fees to keeping the website up and running out of my own pocket.

The last few years have proven that things rarely turn out as we have planned. After 12 years, FHWF has to cancel its upcoming show and shut its doors for good. This was a devastating decision, but it's not sustainable anymore. Every year, we would fund the shows out of pocket, knowing that our fundraising efforts would be able to cover these necessary expenses. This cancelation has left us with no way of completing this cycle.

Our Board of Directors and supporters have encouraged me to create this GoFundMe to recoup some of these costs. Should we reach our goal for this GoFundMe, any funds raised beyond that initial goal will be immediately donated to RESPOND, Inc., our intended charity for the canceled show. More than anything, I want to close out this incredible chapter of my life by coming together as a community to make one final donation to our chosen charity so we can walk away with our hearts full and our heads held high. Of course, this is only possible with the love, support, and kindness of the FHWF family.
