Financial Relief for Valerie during treatment
Beschermde donatie
Jenny Brinen and I are putting a fundraiser together for our dear friend.
Valerie is an amazing woman whose body was diagnosed with Advanced Ovarian Cancer in 2016. Her original treatment was through the conventional medical model of surgery and chemotherapy. She is an avid researcher and has a tenacious spirit so immediately started implementing supporting alternative approaches.
Valerie was unable to continue her teaching position after December 2018 as it was too much of a strain on her physical body because she was a health and physical education teacher. She felt it wasn't fair to the kids to not be there like she had been in the past.
The added stress of some other personal tragedies with family members and an additional financial challenge created by the current covid situation proved too much to handle and her body ended up with a recurrence of the disease that put her in the hospital.
The burden of the physical challenge coupled with a financial situation she doesn't have the resources for is truly too much even for someone as resilient as Valerie. So here we are, humbling asking for much needed relief to help get her the treatment her body needs.
The 2 of us "ovarian girl's" (survivor's of ovarian cancer) are establishing this "Go Fund Me" site for Valerie to help offset the many expenses that such a serious illness brings. Every donation makes a huge difference. Valerie is one of the most optimistic, courageous, independent and resourceful people we have ever met. With sincere gratitude.
Thank you,
Mari and Jenny
