My name is Debbie Simmons, and these are my grandchildren by my son, Kevern Simmons. My life, and his family and friends’ lives were destroyed when we heard of the tragic passing of my one and only son.
Kevern was shot and murdered on the week of Labor Day, September 1, 2020, leaving Kevern Jr (8), Kaden (7 twin) , Emani (7 twin) and Judah Simmons (5) behind with no father to love, care, protect, or support them.
This fund has been established to cover the funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling for the children and our family, and to assist our family in the days to come as we continue to seek justice for Kevern Simmons.
Kevern was shot in his hand on August 31, 2020. He was taken to the hospital, and released early that morning. He slept most of that day, because the medicine that he was given made him sleepy. He got up late that afternoon to go to the store and to never return home. My son was targeted and hunted, until they MURDERED him. All of this happened in Clinton, SC. My son loved his family and friends that lived in Clinton, and he would often hang out there to be closer to them. The evil way that Kevern was taken from this world has taken a toll on our family and we can use any financial support that you are able to provide to our family, especially to Kevern's children will be greatly appreciated. Kevern meant the world to us, and he was deeply loved and needed. Thanks in advance for your support.
