Finally a Concrete Skatespot in West Chester, PA

Hi, we are Skate Chesco also known as the Skateboard Improvement Coalition of Chester County, our mission is to help get public skatespots and skateparks built that are easily accessible, inclusive and concrete. It is vital they are easily accessible to all members of the community, as of now the only spots around Borough of West Chester require access to a car thus shutting out too many of the youth.

The first project we are working on is an approximately 6,000 sf skatespot in the Borough of West Chester.  We have been working with Parks and Rec and determined Rustin Park is an ideal location. The park is skating distance from the heart of the Borough and is the most underutilized of all parks. Part of the plan will include a mural paying tribute to West Chester native and civil rights champion, Bayard Rustin whom the park is named after.

Support has been overwhelmingly positive and things have been moving faster than could have hoped for so now we are at the stage where we need to start the fundraising process.

100% of the funds donated will go towards getting the spot built and aid in obtaining grants.

We are in the process of creating a 501c3 but those take time so starting here.

Thank you and go skate, it's nice out
