Filthy McNastys Saloon in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards needs your help
Founded in 1978 and run by Zane and crew for the last 15 years our family-owned live-music venue in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards has been a place for locals and tourists to come together for a good time and to listen to the best regional and local artists and bands play live without having to pay a Cover Charge. We will always strive to be a venue that offers free live music performed by exceptional musicians to the Texas music scene. We are listed on the Texas Music Office Directory of Small Venues playing live Country Music and it is our staffs tireless work and devotion to our goals that is the key to making the free live show approach successful. They have built a place with a focus on the artists who play here and most gratifyingly who ask to play here.
Fast-forward to now... we, like a lot of other businesses, have been severely financially impacted by the Covid-19 Shelter In-Place order, an occupancy reduction of 25% of maximum, the first mandatory bar shut down that lasted from March 17th to May 22ed, the 8:00pm curfews of June 1-4 that followed, a brief time of reopening again at an occupancy reduction of 50% of maximum, then on June 26th a second shut down of undetermined length that is still in ongoing. With little to no revenue during these times we were still able to assure that the staff was being paid, as well as the taxes, utilities, and all other overhead necessary to keep the business solvent and ready to reopen when allowed. Our staff has been dedicated and creative in meeting all of the requirements of daily business procedures and the unique requirements brought on by the Pandemic while providing safety during this time of constantly changing rules. Since being allowed and able to sell a few to go drinks with prepared food they have very much appreciated the opportunity to serve our loyal customers but the drastic cut in tips compared to those of a fully open bar, which is literally the way they make a living, severely diminished their incomes. They choose to do what they do because they love what they do and are passionate about getting things back up and running, most of all they miss seeing everyone.
This is where you come in. This second shutdown of unknown duration is stressing our resources to their limits. If you've enjoyed performances by outstanding musicians at our venue or just had a fun night out with Zane and the crew now is the time consider donating to this cause if you can. You will be helping Zane and the crew pay their personal bills, provide for their families, and help keep this most exceptional crew together and prepared to get the doors back open when the time comes. We are optimistic and hopeful that the State will allow bars to reopen within 12 weeks so our Go Fund Me goal is set for the requirements of that duration. $5.00 is the minimum donation Go Fund Me accepts and larger donations would certainly be appreciated and helpful beyond words. 100% of all donations will go to payroll and the overhead incurred take to make it through this second closing.
