Compassionate action starts here.

As some of you know I'm volunteering to do humanitarian aid work with the locally based non-profit organization, Medical Teams Worldwide. It has been an ongoing dream of mine to be of service internationally. The Universe has finally provided the vehicle that can make that happen, now I just need to buy my plane ticket!

The mission: Dr. Kelley and our team will spend several days in the Methare slums outside of Nairobi providing medical care to those who cannot afford to see a doctor. We will travel to S. Sudan, Dr. Kelley is working on establishing a hospital in an area where there is no medical care nearby. The need is great, there is no governmental assistance, if you cannot pay for your healthcare you cannot get it, you must pay a deposit before you go to the hospital, if you can't pay the balance you don't leave. We will do our best to help those in front of us, we know we can't help everyone, but for those who do receive help, it matters to them, we do make a difference.
