Figous Family Flood Fund
Donation protected
The Figous family, a hard working Union family of 6 with 2 dogs, was recently affected by an unexpected natural disaster. During recent weather, their hometown received over 10 inches of rain in a short amount of time, causing flooding never before seen in their neighborhood. This area is in a flood zone, however homeowners, who have lived here for over 60 years were never made aware of that, and no one knew they needed flood insurance because it had just never happened. The lower level of their home is a total loss under roughly 4 feet of water, including their brand new air conditioner, furnace, washer and dryer, hot water heater, the family’s clothing, heirlooms, furniture, their oldest daughter’s car, and construction materials for a finished lower level. The heat index since has been in the 100s, with no power, and they are currently doing all of the cleanup themselves. With no insurance, the cost of fixing the water damage is monumental. The Figous family would be appreciative of any help you can give toward replacing the loss. Any overages will be paid forward to other flooding victims. Thank you in advance.
