I am calling for a miracle for my dear childhood friend and mother of three beautiful kids, Joel (12yrs), Madison (10yrs), and Brooke (7yrs.)
My name is Vanessa Marquez and something very special occured just yesterday afternoon. After years of searching for a childhood best friend and having no results even with all the outlets of social media, I opened my facebook page yesterday and discovered a friend request by a name I couldn't believe.
Rebecca Price! It wasn't long before we were messenging and then called eachother to rekindle our memories of all the times we played at the ages of 5yrs to 11yrs old. It was a dream to hear her same exact laugh, remember the things I had forgotten and learn she had just moved to Colorado ...my home.
The conversation was filled with excitment and disbelief that we had found eachother after last seeing her when I was 11 yrs old and her family moving out of state. The feelings of joy soon transitioned into heartache and dispair. I learned that my dear friend Rebecca was in a postion of literally fighting for her and her childrens safety.
She has filed for protection against her current husband due to tremendous physical, and mental abuse towards her children and her. Coupled with a recent violent physical incident towards her 12yr old son, and learning her oldest daughter was horrifically being sexually abused for the last 5 years from her first marriage, she is now seeking refuge with nothing but the clothes on their backs and two weeks to being homless. To protect her children from the terror they have experienced for far too long, she needs our immediate support!
Despite recent findings of her medical results at the age of 28yrs old, she has found out her body is fighting Multiple Sclerosis and potential breast cancer, Rebecca is truly an inspirational woman, with enormous strength and determination to fufill her dreams, and demonstrate a beautiful life for her kids. She currently is seeking employment here, however until she finds a new job, she needs a miracle to happen fast.
The money being raised will be used to provide a deposit for a place they can call home for Christmas. It will also include a bed to sleep on for each child, clothes, furniture, bills, school supplies and any "Santa Gifts" for the childrens immediate neccesities. The children are not able to attend school until they establish a residential address. SO, we are looking for support ASAP and it will mean the WORLD to these kids and their mom to wake up knowing they are safe and the kids can be KIDS again!
