***UPDATE JANUARY 4th 2024***

On November 30th, 2023, Noe had a successful surgery! Surgeons were able to remove the tumor without any complications. However, 14 out of the 17 removed lymph nodes tested positive for cancer. Due to this, Noe starts one year of Immunotherapy today. Immunotherapy will be every other week in Amarillo. This is to help prevent the cancer from returning. Noe is still out of work until further notice, but he is healthy and recovering quickly! We are so grateful and thankful for all love and support we continue to receive from our amazing family, friends, and community.

***December 1st 2023***

It has been a while since the last update so here’s the latest info. Noe was scheduled for surgery yesterday morning in Amarillo. He came out of surgery and is now in the ICU. Doctors said the tumor shrunk down a lot and surgery went well. We are all so thankful for all of the positive energy that has been sent his way. Now hoping for a quick recovery!! ❤️

***UPDATE October 11th 2023***

Major Milestone!!! Yesterday was Noe’s last day of radiation!! He still has one more round of chemo next week.  On the 1st of November, Noe and his doctors will discuss surgery. We are so proud of how strong he has been and how he has remained positive.

***UPDATE September 21st 2023***

Noe's MRI came back clear. There is no cancer in the brain thank goodness. The biopsy for the mass on his thyroid also came back negative for cancer. This is great news as his doctors were concerned that he might have two primary cancers at the same time. This is not the case though, thankfully.

Noe is still considered Stage 4A Esophageal Cancer. He is finishing up his third week of radiation tomorrow. He has two more weeks of radiation and one more round of chemo left. After chemo and radiation are complete his doctors will assess the cancer and see what surgery is best for his treatment.

***UPDATE September 6th 2023*** Noe had his first round of chemo and radiation today. He is going to be having chemo once a week every other week. He will be having radiation 5 days a week for the next 5 weeks. Today went great, Noe is feeling fine after his chemo & radiation treatment.

***UPDATE August 29th 2023***

Noe met with the Radiologist today to get a game plan for treatment. They did a CT Scan and also ordered an MRI Scan for his brain to make sure that his dizzy spells and vertigo are not something more serious (we do not have a date or time for this yet).

The mass by his thyroid is unrelated but he will be getting a separate test done on that to make sure it is not another issue. He has 3-6 lymph nodes that are impacted and so his cancer has been classified as Stage 4A - which IS cure-able. Radiation starts next week and Chemo may start next week as well.

The Radiologist will go aggressive with radiation treatment since Noe is young and able to fight more but they said it will cause him to become more tired but to work through it. Today at 3 pm is his surgery to get his Chemo Port installed in preparation for his treatment.

***Update:August 28th 2023***
- Noe had his PET scan today. They should have the results tomorrow or maybe Wednesday. He is scheduled to have his port inserted for his chemo and radiation tomorrow. The cost of the port installation is $16,000. They didn’t have to pay it all at once but the medical bills have started to grow significantly.

Hello! My name is Zinnia and I am raising money to help my brother-in-law fight stage 3 esophageal cancer. Noe is 26 years old and even though he has been married to my baby sister since 2021, he has been in our lives since they were kids.

Felicia and Noe met when they were 9 in elementary school. They were friends but life brought them back together in 2017 when they began dating. They have been happily married and enjoying their marriage with their 4 fur-babies. On August 1st 2023, Noe was rushed to the ER where he was admitted to the ICU for 4 days. Two days after checking out of the hospital his labs were in and he was told that he has Cancer.

Since then, they have seen 4 specialists and finally have some clear answers. Noe has Stage 3 esophageal cancer. He needs Chemo every two weeks and Radiation everyday for 6 weeks This treatment will begin next week after he gets a PET Scan which will determine if it actually stage 4 cancer.

All of this will be taking place in Amarillo, Texas which is a 121 mile drive from their home in Guymon, Oklahoma. They do not have the funds for the travel and are down to only Felicia’s income since Noe has been out of work since his ICU stay. All funds raised will go directly to them for travel, hospitals bills, and the cost of his treatment.

Anyone who knows Noe describes him as a happy, energetic, helpful and nice guy. Personally, in all of my years knowing him and seeing their marriage up-close, I haven’t seen him ever get angry. He is so young and it angers me that this is happening to them. Noe deserves a chance to fight for his life without the financial worries.
