Fighting for my families freedom

I am being summoned to court this Friday Oct 1st at 8am in Champaign County, Ohio. My son goes to Graham high school. On Saturday, September 11th I was notified by the band director (Mr. Woods) after our performance at the car show over his personal cell phone that the drum line was in contact with a teacher who had covid on Friday. He said my son needed to stay home because of contact tracing. I asked for details pertaining to this ( was there a seating chart, time keeping, a video available, how long he would be out of school, who made this decision and so on) I was told by Mr. Woods he didn't know the answers to most of the questions I asked and the others he told me it wasn't his job to do this and to contact the principle on Monday to see if my son could in fact go to school. If you know how our band program works and how extremely large our band room is (2 story's tall) ... you would understand why I am questioning this. It didn't make sense why this man in question was next to my son for 15 mins. I began asking my son and talking to other parents.. everyone had the same story... it didn't make sense. Every child we talked to including my son, said this teacher was not next to them. They stated he was helping one child and the rest of the time he was repairing drums across the room. Since I believed the school had made a mistake, I went in the office early Monday morning with my son to meet with the principle. The principle stated there was never a seating chart, time keeping chart given or video given to him nor had there been an investigation done. The Principle Mr. Overla said he was only going off of what Ms. Buell (Assistant band director) told him. Which was only that the "Drum line " was affected. Mr. Overla said it wasn't his job to investigate the claims or do anything. He stated he agreed with me and that it didn't make sense for my son or the other kids to be quarantined. He said my son could go to class and sent him to class. Mr. Overla contacted me later that morning stating the health dept. got word my son was in class and that he wasn't sure what would happen next. I asked if my son was being forced to leave school, he said he could not force him to leave school nor was he removing him. He said the health dept. or sheriff could if they felt the need. That afternoon I received a call from officer Jester stating I had to pick my son up because he was being forced to leave school. I have video of this when I went to pick him up and our meeting. I went to the high school and spoke with Mr. Overla and officer Jester. I was told by both of them this wasn't there job. I asked several questions regarding the contact tracing and quarantine. Most of those questions were answered with .. "I don't know or this isn't my job". I was told this was being decided from Ms. Buell who was in an office in the band room. I was told a list of names was given and that's all they know. Later I found out per Ms. Buell herself, that all she did was print off an attendance sheet and handed it in. Officer Jester told me I was not being charged with anything unless I bring my son back to school before the quarantine is up. I was told by Mr. Overla and officer Jester to go speak with the health director Gabe Jones. I ended the meeting and got my son. We then went to meet with Gabe. I left my son in my vehicle when I went in. I went to the health dept. in search of Gabe. He wasn't in his office, I was told by his secretary to go look in the gym because that's where he spends his free time. I walked down the hallway and indeed found him working out in the gym. I asked to speak with him and he agreed. During the conversation I mentioned I had my son with me but he was in my vehicle incase he wanted to speak with him. He said he didn't need to stay in the truck and that he could come in. Gabe never once asked if he was vaccinated or ask him to wear a mask. I thought that was weird as just a few hours prior they made it out that my son was a threat to the public. Me, Gabe, the director of nursing and my son went to the conference room and spoke. I asked the same questions as I did at the school to be told it wasn't their job to question what the school tells them as in information regarding the contact tracing. So my question is.. who's job is it to investigate this? They added they were going off of a printed sheet of names. I took it upon myself to call Ms. Buell nd the teacher who was positive. We called the positive tested teacher first, he stated only one child of the 13 on that list was possibly of question but he wasn't sure he spent even that amount of time close to that child. He gave a definite no to my son being in contact with him for that amount of time or closeness. He stated he was busy fixing drums and only spent time with one child. He stated Ms. Buell was in her officer and only witnessed everything from her office, same thing the children said. I then called Ms. Buell. She stated all she did was print off an attendance sheet of the kids names and turned it in. She said she did not have a seating chart, time sheet or video. She went on to say she was guessing several times and that she didn't have a tape measure on her or that she kept track of the time. She began to get very irritated and was raising her voice stating this was not her job. Ms. Buell has been known to comment in school and out of school about how she feels everyone needs to be vaccinated and masked. I feel she is pushing her own agenda with this. Gabe stated they cant undo what Ms. Buell sent in wither or not the other teacher gave information that didn't support hers. They said the high school or Ms. Buell would have to write a letter to the health dept. stating these children could go back to school. The school stated it wasn't there job and the health dept. needs to investigate it. The health dept. per Gabe said numerous times it wasn't there job. I kept Ian home for the quarantine from there on. On Thursday Sept. 23rd I was called by the sheriffs office stating I had a summons to court in there office, I told them I could pick it up the following morning at 8:45 am. Later that evening an officer delivered it to my house 10 days after the day in question. I am a single mother. I am a nurse but currently not working due to having 3 surgeries in the last few months totalling over 20 hours on the operating table due to fighting an aggressive cancer gene that is destroying by body with more surgeries and treatment in the near future to come. I have been a volunteer for the school system for 15 years along with volunteering for several community organizations. I never thought I would be living through this nightmare. I am not a threat to the school or community.
Any money left over from this fight will be used to help other families fighting for their freedom. I am working with the Mendenhall law firm out of Akron, Ohio.
