Fight Maternal Deaths in Nigeria with Blood Banks
Beschermde donatie
Hi, my name is Florence Akindele and I am an ObGyn who, together with some of my medical colleagues wants to start blood banking services in Nigeria in a bid to prevent mothers from dying from lack of accessible and safe blood and blood products.
Maternal Mortality ratio in Nigeria has remained one of the highest in the world since our medical student days (over 30 years ago) and it is heartbreaking for us to see that the figures are still about the same. We believe there’s a need to do something differently.
The funds raised will be used to support the take off of the blood banking system that we are creating.
