This year has been one of both tremendous hardship and tremendous struggle. In the midst of the deadly global pandemic and worsening economic crisis, the murder of George Floyd by police sparked the largest uprising and protest movement in decades.  We are honoring the Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression for the leading role it played in the rebellion. In response to racism, lack of respect, and COVID safety concerns, the INA and SEIU Local 73 led the way forward by launching the largest strike since the start of the 2020 economic crisis.
