CUFC - Bristol's Defibrillators
Donation protected
Clip up for Conor is a campaign set up in memory of Conor Hall who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident.
Conor suffered sereve brain injury resulting in a brain operation and five days in intensive are. His family then had to make the heartbreaking decision to turn off the machine.
Conor was just 16 years of age.
To mark the five year anniversary since Conor has passed we are holding a bike ride event on the 18th of June to raise money. The money will be going to a chosen charity.
So far in the last five years Conors family and friends have raised an incredible £25K for life changing chairties around the UK.
Join us and please donate to help us raise even more money for an amazing charity.
Charities we have helped so far:
Headway
ICU Frenchay
BRAKE
The Childrens Trust
We have also raised money for Conor's bench which is situated in King George the IV playing fields, Downend.
WHERE ARE YOUR DONATIONS GOING?!?
As a family we have decided to raise money to fund two defibrillators and put back into the community. WHICH WE HAVE ACHIEVED.... WE NOW WANT ANOTHER TWO!!!!
Sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen to any one and can also be a result of any road traffic accident.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Facts
In the UK approximately 30,000 people sustain cardiac arrest
outside hospital and are treated by emergency medical services
(EMS) each year 1.
It can happen anytime, anywhere and to anyone, even young athletes.
Early defibrillation is the single most effective treatment for SCA!
Defibrillation within 3 minutes of collapse can increase the
chance of survival to over 70%.
Sadly, on average, only 7% of people who suffer Sudden Cardiac Arrest outside the hospital survive, and survival rates fall by around 10% every minute.
There’s rarely any warning, and a victim of SCA usually collapses and stops breathing immediately. That’s when the clock starts ticking!
Calling 999 in the event of SCA is critical, as is performing CPR on the victim.
A Sudden Cardiac Arrest is caused by
an abnormal heart rhythm or ventricular fibrillation, which causes the heart to stop
pumping blood. The single most effective treatment for SCA is early defibrillation providing a shock to the heart within the first three to five minutes.
