Hi family, I hope you all are doing as best as you can as we finally see some light at the end of the tunnel coming out of this pandemic.
Some of you may be aware, but our Tito Lading was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 21st in Marikina, Philippines. He had been experiencing swelling in his legs and abdomen for several days. Upon admission, they informed him that he has severe kidney failure and is in need of 2 kidney transplants.
Luckily, my dad purchased Phil-health (medical insurance) for the both of them promptly upon arrival to the Philippines, so a portion of the hospital and treatment costs are covered. However, Tito Lading also needs round the clock caregivers, indefinitely.
At this point, he is receiving dialysis 3x/week and has two caretakers at any given time. He has an appointment on Tues, March16 at NKTI (National Kidney & Transplant Institute). Hopefully he can be admitted & scheduled for catheter surgery. As of last week, my dad informed me that Tito is developing blood clots. There are bound to be more complications as his care needs increase.
I understand we are all in different financial situations, but thought to reach out just in case anyone is able to assist in donating to his medical care needs. As of now, my dad is taking care of this predominantly on his own. Tito Lading has taken care of our family in many ways. I hope, to the best of our ability, that we can contribute toward care for him in this difficult time. According to my dad, Tito is in relatively good spirits. He is really grateful for the medical care, and obviously in pain, but taking things well overall. Tito Lading's 71st birthday is coming up on March 30th, and I can't think of a greater gift than to contribute to his care. Any amount will help significantly, and is greatly appreciated. The donations will go directly into a bank account that my dad can access. Thank you all so much. Loving you. Hope to see you soon.
