Keevil & Keevil's #FeedVirginia Program
Donation protected
“At its most simple we are buying locally grown food to cook and give to people that need it.” - Harrison Keevil
Keevil & Keevil Grocery & Kitchen owners Jennifer and Harrison Keevil have shifted their business model to help our community survive COVID-19 and its economic impact. As of April 13th, 2020, they launched #FeedVirginia, a long-term hunger relief program that produces and distributes free weekly meals throughout the community using ingredients sourced directly from local farmers.
At its peak, the #FeedVirginia program was providing over 2,000 meals per week to community members experiencing food insecurity. To date (July 10, 2020), we've distributed 22,863 meals throughout our community. Now that our initial fundraising dollars are running out, we've had to cut back on our production—which is why we need your help to keep #FeedVirginia alive.
Our goal is to become financially self-sufficient, using all of Keevil & Keevil's regular lunch and dinner sales to fund our #FeedVirginia program. Until we reach that point, we rely on donations to keep the program going.
How can you help?
1. Contribute to our effort here. Every dollar donated through our GoFundMe page goes directly toward producing free meals for our #FeedVirginia program.
2. Help support our mission by ordering food from Keevil & Keevil. The proceeds from our regular food sales help to fund our #FeedVirginia program.
If you have any questions or are interested in learning how you can be a part of our #FeedVirginia program, visit our website or reach out directly via phone or email.
