Feeding Our NHS Staff

WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP, HELP US HELP THE NHS AT THIS TIME OF CRISIS
Last Monday (23rd March) we decided, in order to use up our excess stock, that we would provide lunch to our NHS staff in 3 hospital units where we have friends that are working. Due to the lack of eating facilities in hospitals, and after lockdown, we are now receiving more requests to provide nourishing, freshly made food to those that will be working on the front line.
As of Monday Really Delicious will be providing, to over 200 NHS heroes, a selection of sandwiches, salads, soup, hot food and fruit to the following hospitals:
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - ICU & Theatre
Queen Elizabeth - A&E, ENT and wards 11B, 62 and 64
Golden Jubilee - ICU, Theatre and Cardio Thoracic
With other departments contacting us on a daily basis we are expecting to be feeding 300 people every day. Our aim was to never have to charge as the people we are feeding are putting themselves on the front line and are battling to save people affected by this awful virus.
Our estimated costs per head (on average) are £5. Here is the menu that we provided yesterday (26th)
Soup Of The Day
Potato & Leek Chowder with Almond Chilli Oil
Hot Meals
Beef Bourguignon, Chive Mash, and Peas
Cauliflower and Lentil Dhal with Bombay Potatoes and Indian Cabbage (V)
Salads
Cajun poached salmon, kale, red onion, roast squash, quinoa, mint, yogurt and lime dressing
Classic Greek salad with toasted pitta (V)
Sandwiches
Chipotle chicken roast peppers, rocket and white baguette
Smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber sliced brown bread
Mozzarella, tomato, rocket, salami, basil, pesto mayo brown baguette
Applewood smoked cheddar caramelised onion chutney, mixed leaves, white bread (V)
