Feed Hungry Families
Donation protected
We know of 30 kids ranging from pre school to 5th grade that are short on food and go hungry ALOT. Who will help us make sure they have everything they need in December and for Christmas?
These are all kids in Norman that recieve some kind of food from the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. This service is meant to give healthy snacks to kids, but the distribution isn't enough for a family for the 2 week break. We want them to have the fixins for a good holiday dinner and enough sustaining food to get them through until school resumes again.
We would buy
a ham
mashed potatoes
rolls
cans of green beans
dressing
dessert for holiday dinner
Gallon of milk
breakfast cereal
eggs
sandwich bread
peanut butter
jelly
oranges
cans of chicken and tuna
white rice
pasta
beans
cans of tomato soup
canned vegetables
We would also like to purchase a gift card to Walmart so the families can get other needs such as baby food or diapers.
If these families can be blessed with more than our funding request we will work with those who help them to assess needs for warm clothes and coats.
