Feed the Hungry Volunteers

Martinez residents are providing lunches for volunteers who are tending and caring for the livestock and other animals at the Solano County Fairgrounds. This is the safe collection point for so many animals displaced from ranches, farms, and homes, by the fires.

We hope to provide about 250 lunches per day.   Please contribute what you can to help cover the cost of food and supplies.  All workers are strictly volunteers.

Roxx on Main, 627 Main St., is our headquarters for in kind contributions (chips, sodas, packaged snacks...), and Roxanne is coordinating the food-prep in her wonderful commercial kitchen.  Another Main Street location, Barrelista Coffee House is helping to collect donations and also contributing food and supplies.  

This program is an outgrowth of larger effort coordinated by Congressman Mike Thompson's relief effort.
