Featherstone Farm-Build you a cabin

Hi!

For those of you who may not know us, we are the Macdonald Family; hardworking, passionate folks who are over the moon to have finally purchased our own farm.

101 glorious acres of feild, forest and stream. 

We are so thankful for all our dedicated customers on the west side of the GTA and don't want you to worry; we plan on being able to continue to bring to you our deliciuous products going forward once we have settled in our new farm.

We also, want to invite you to come visit us on our new land, see the animals, explore the forests, and perhaps even fall in love with the area.

Kawartha Lakes is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. Full of trails, forests, lakes and hills, the options are endless.

We are asking for your immediate support in helping us build a cabin on our property to host all you wonderful people who want to come out and visit.

I am in the process of working out design, getting quotes from local builders and figuring out the permit end. And this is all before we have even moved in. I plan on updating this site as I have more information.

It appears that our cabins 'primary' function may be as a Sugar Shack for Maple Season. FUN! Welcome to the sugar shack, extra spring fun to be had.







If possible, we will begin site preparation this fall, if not, in the spring.

Additionally, if we manage to exceed our fundraising goals, I have plans to include a cedar sauna and/or hot tub in the design as well. There is just never enough opportunity to enjoy these simple pleasures.

Update:
The farm deal has closed and we are in the process of moving.

The land is even more beautiful and diverse than we had hoped.

We have chosen a spot for a small off the grid cabin to house all you folks who want to come for a farm stay.

I have a cabin kit picked out and am ready to roll, all we need is your support. We will be able to comfortably sleep a family of 4-6 in our new cabin.

So please share. Think about spending a night or two connecting with nature, with how your food is grown and with coming out to explore a new area. The stars are so bright and the air is so clear in the hills here.
