Dear Supporters, my father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. This was a sudden shock to my family. After several tests and xrays, the outcome was final. The cancer has spread to his liver and now it looks to be spreading to his back as well. It was only my father, my little sister, and myself but now it’s about to be just the two of us.
My sister is currently 16 years old. She just became a junior in high school. She strives to go into the medical field so she would need a lot of time to focus and to be in a stress less environment.
On the other hand, I am 18 years old and was supposed to attend Georgia State this term under the Computer Science route, however, due to my father's condition, I have taken a gap year to provide my father with all the love and support I can give up until the very end.
My father has been working day in and day out for practically all 18 years of my life. He would hardly take breaks and always provide us with all the necessities we needed for a secure school life and family life. He was the main and only source of income. We have pending bills that we are still unable to pay and this affects us severely.
My father is now fully incapable to work and is only able to lay in bed struggling to take care of himself. The doctor states that he only has a few weeks to a month or two left. My father is hardly able to digest anything properly. He is in a clear-liquid diet but even water at this point is very difficult and is only able to consume a small amount at a time.
We love our father so dearly and it pains us to the core that he is leaving us so early.
We are asking for your help. Any funds that are received will help us support ourselves. It is perfectly fine if you are unable to donate but even spreading the word out is tremendous help.
