Father in need & dissertation in progress Jul&Aug

Dear ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,

in 2012, my father suffered a severe heart attack. He's very ill and even though the doctors gave him four bypasses and nine stents, he feels responsible to take care of his family. That's why he reopened a garage, unfortunatley without success. He has no customers and is too weak to pursue his work as a car body designer. He got fired multiple times, his last supervisor told him to leave work, because my dad was breathing too heavily. We are at our wit's end. As soon as you lose your job in Switzerland, you're at mercy of the harassment. Nobody is willing to help us. My dad visited multiple contact points, hoping someone would help him financially, but they all shut their doors. We're running out of money, he has to beg for work, but nothing yields fruit. I try to support my family, but I'm a doctoral student and can't work at a hundred percent. I'm able to contribute something to the rent and food, but it's by far not enough. We fear for our existence.

I clutch at any straw and turn to you. Please, help my father who, due to his heart disease and meniscus, is no longer able to support his family. We're asking for a small donation to buy food and pay medical bills.

Since I'm working on my doctoral thesis, it would be a relief to know that my family is well provided for the next months. I'm also funding money to concentrate on my thesis and submit it within the next two years, so I will finally be able to work full-time and earn enough money to make our lives easier.

For those who are interested, I'm writing my thesis on the change of vine symbolism in biblical and non-biblical literature from 2000 BC to the New Testament. My doctoral supervisor allows me to go into reasearch and combine Near Eastern archaeological aspects (cultural, religious, social) and Theology. I'm also studying theology as second degree course to deepen my knowledge. A financial contribution would be an enrichment.
