A sweet love story that began in Elementary school. A marriage. A family full of kids. This is Eva and Phillip.
Both native to Norfolk, Eva and Phillip Lee met when they were just kids in Elementary school. A few years later, in middle school, they became sweet hearts. Their love blossomed throughout highschool, and beyond.
Just a short 5 years ago, they were married. Throughout their time together, Phil and Eva have shared so many wonderful memories. Probably the favorite of these memories, would be the birth of their 6 children: Linda (17), Kaya (13), Melanie (10), Evanna (10), Naziah (10), and Phillip Jr (7).
Eva was a stay at home mother to her children. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and extended family. Her and Phil enjoyed taking long car rides together and eating out at Mexican restuarants, Pizza Chef, and especially Mona Lisa's.
Eva was diagnosed with cancer only two years ago. After undergoing kemo, multiple surgeries, and a long struggle, Eva went into remission. Even through all that she had been dealing with, she was always still very thoughtful of others. As a thank you to her husband's company, she made homemade Ziti, and brought it to all his co-workers for lunch. It was incredibly thoughtful.
Unfortunately, the New Year brought more stuggles. After her stay in the hospital earlier this year, Eva was sent home on hospice care less than one month ago. It is painful to say that Eva passed away on Monday, 02/13/2017 at home with her family. As you can imagine, this is extremely painful for Eva's husband, Phillip, and their 6 children. Phillip is a very hard worker, and a wonderful father. We are praying that after reading their story, you would be willing to donate to their family. Phillip needs help to pay for his wife's funeral arrangements, and her medical bills. Not to mention, now taking care of all 6 children alone. Every little bit helps.
