My name is Karen Santiago. My father, Roberto Santiago, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer the first week of December 2025. The diagnosis came as a complete surprise, as my father has never even dealt with as much as the flu.

For anyone who has had the pleasure to know my father, whether it be through his youth, being a little league coach for most of our childhood, or as security in the Perth Amboy public schools, you know what an amazing, caring, funny, sweet man he is.

He is the most amazing father to four kids: Omar, myself, Krystal, and Ariana. A grandfather to Yadieliz and Jaymian. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

His battle with cancer has just begun, and he is now forced to be out of work until the end of his treatment, which currently has no end in sight. With this journey just beginning, we’re asking for help to take care of the medical bills that are quickly accumulating.
