Fair Oaks Bike Park - 2022

Tax deductible
Family FreeRide is leading the effort to improve, expand, and maintain the Fair Oaks Bike Park giving kids and families in the community a fun, safe place to ride and build bike skills. Since 2019, Family FreeRide's all-volunteer organization has led park maintenance days, bike events, bike clinics, and group rides - building our community.

With fundraising and community support, Family FreeRide has successfully expanded the bike park, doubling its size since 2019. A Jump Line with a starting mound, 2 wood jumps and a return berm were added in 2021. This year, an Obstacle Course with 10 features around the perimeter of the intermediate area was built using donated materials.

Family FreeRide seeks to further expand the Fair Oaks Bike Park in 2023. The Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District is actively exploring development options for the unused dirt lot adjacent to the existing bike park. Family FreeRide is advocating that this empty land be used to build an Advanced Area as seen in the updated concept design (below) for 2022. This design reflects feedback from the community and the Park District Board following the May 2021 board meeting. Funds raised here will support development of the Advanced Area, maintenance, and additional features to the existing Bike Park, including a shade structure, benches, picnic tables, and trees for shade.

Family FreeRide's track record of successful expansion and improvement over the last 3 years would not be possible without the generous donations of the community. Donors can be sure their funds are used to maximize positive community impact.
