“I need your help. My skin has never looked like this. My protective gear is tearing it apart. What can I do?” The text came from a close friend who is an ICU trauma nurse -- on the front lines of this pandemic.
How can we help?
We have felt so powerless -- locked inside our living rooms, watching as devastation sweeps our nation. As women raised by families who taught us to give before we take, we were naturally asking: How can we help? What can we do to give back to all these brave souls who are courageously stepping out of their homes and up to the front lines to protect and serve us?
Shortly after that first text, we received a similar call for help from another close friend who is a Physician’s Assistant.
Yes, we have to do something.
After looking at pictures of what these masks (plus the heightened stress levels) are doing to their skin, we knew we had to act fast for these healthcare workers!
But we also knew we couldn’t do it alone....
Immediately, we reached out to the executives of some of skincare’s leading companies such as Eminence, Epicuren, Face Reality Skincare, Saian Skincare, Clarity RX, and Hale & Hush.
Four days later, these amazing executives were calling us personally, donating supplies for self-care kits, and offering to share the intention behind Faces on the Front Line with their news outlets.
Faces on the Front Line kits will include soothing and hydrating cleansers, masks, and moisturizers aimed to target these terrible friction burns, irritations, and breakouts caused by protective gear and high levels of stress.
Our companies, Suit Yourself & Sapphire Skin Co., will also be offering virtual professional services and education to all front line workers.
Plus, we are reaching out to companies in the wellness industry that would like to donate products that will support these heroes from the inside-out.
And now… we are asking for YOUR help…
At this time, our generous donors can only provide hundreds, maybe a thousand, kits between them. The rest of the heroes need individuals like us to donate so they can experience the self-care blessing too!
