Face shields for nhs workers and key workers

If you have a request for visors for key workers please please contact the team via their facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/EastKentFaceShields/ After hearing about a local man Phil Hathaway and other 3D printing hobbyists around the world producing face shields for keyworkers, Dean, his family and friends have all teamed up to buy 3D printers and materials to make face shields for frontline healthcare workers, during this covid virus pandemic. The face shields are being distributed free of charge and the cost is currently being met by Dean, his family and his friends. There have been several requests already all over england and Dean has only been making them a couple of days. Several face shields have already gone out to nhs workers. Due to the demand Dean has ordered two further 3rd printers to be set up and enlisted some friends who are very willing to help to increase production to meet the demand. If anyone feels they could contribute to help with the cost towards the printers (cost £320 each) and materials to help meet the demand for our key workers it would be gratefully received, the production of the face shields can then be 'ramped up' to help meet the demand.  If a cost of a printer/s is able to be met in the fundraising this will be donated to a local service such as: a day opportunity for people with learning disabilities and/or local schools after the pandemic. The face shields are made in a home environment on a 3d printer. The face shields are not clinically tested and are not made in a sterile environment and can not be guarenteed that they will prevent someone catching the covid virus, however it is hoped they will afford some protection for our brave hard working key workers.  Thank you for all your support.
