Back in 2014 after biking 100miles round trip to Bear Mountain and the next day completing a Spartan race for a week straight had non stop head aches, found out I had an aneurism which put a huge halt on all strenuous activities for about two years. A stent was placed *woo* Finally got the green light from Docs to makes things happen.
I will be doing this ride from NYC to Florida for a friends kid Jacob who lives in Tennessee. This past May Jacob was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma. It's a more rare type of bone cancer. It is aggressive and spreads fast so the doctors have been moving quickly in treatment. He's already had 6 rounds of chemo and is going to have his fibula removed on Sept 4th. That's where they are as of now. He's in the hospital and had to have emergency surgery this past Wednesday to remove a leaking port and put in a new one.
MY MISSION: Ride from New York City to Florida give or take 1220miles about 7-8 days and raise awareness and donations. My plan is to take route 1 straight down, will TRY HARD to hit 140-200 miles a day, stopping briefly only to charge electronics, shower, and laundry, other than that I'll be sleeping with mother nature. This will be a challenge indeed, my first ever on a Tall Bike mission over 140miles. Once there I'll have to find a bike shop for being boxes to ship my tallbike back to NYC, then fly or bus it back depending on how many days off I have left. It will be a crazy adventure for me hands down.
