On September 20th, 2014, members from Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of California, Merced caravanned west towards Santa Cruz for a sisterhood retreat. On the way, one of the eight cars was involved in an accident leaving five of our sisters hospitalized. To respect the privacy of these women, we will not be sharing details; but in this time in need, we ask for your financial support.
We ask for your support because, while we cannot change what has happened, we hope to relieve the financial, academic, and everyday stressed from our sisters. While they focus on recovering, we can focus our attention on making their lives a little easier.
The money raised will go to the medical expenses of our sisters’. Any remaining money will be donated to University of California, Merced's Operations and Emergency Fund. By doing so, we hope to raise awareness to other organizations of the resources available to students in emergency needs.
