As some may know, Patty is a working owner of Beachside Dog Spa and has recently received devastating news about her husband, Jeff. A month ago, he went in for exploratory surgery because of stomach complications, and when he underwent surgery, they found out that he had two different types of metastatic cancer. Since he is in stage four of the colon cancer, there is not much they can do besides improve his quality of life and the time he has left. They are looking into alternative forms of treatment in hopes of some sort of a remission or cure but most are not covered by insurance. Patty has had to take off multiple days and she wants to be with him his last few months, she is needing any financial help she can get right now. She is barely hanging on with it being off-season at the shop and a rent that is higher since the move, and now this news and seeing her trying to hold it together for him while struggling absolutely breaks my heart. So I'm reaching out to all friends, family, and acquaintances to please keep them in your prayers and if you're able to help in any way possible, she would greatly appreciate anything, even just to come by the shop for a hug.
