Kimikia Molina's Medical Expenses

On Feb 2, 2017, Kimikia Molina & her best friend Loron Turner were involved in an accident that took the life of Loron and left Kimikia in critical condition being airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital. Kimikia's parents are traveling back and forth from Highlands county to Lee County to be with her and stay by her side during this difficult time. She also has no insurance to pay for her stay in the hospital. Any financial contributions will go towards any medical expenses she will have while in the hospital, for my parents to be able to make it to be by her side. It is hard to travel back and forth and not have enough income to provide for the travels. We appreciate all the contributions and all prayers that are said.

DRIVER KILLED, PASSENGER CRITICAL AFTER CRASH

LAKE PLACID -- Loron Turner, 23, was killed and his passenger, Kimika Molina, 22, was critically injured in a single-car crash late Thursday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Turner was driving a 2004 BMW south on Washinton Boulevard at a high rate of speed at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, when he failed to negotiate a left-hand turn near Christine Street. The car left the road and hit a tree.

Turner was pronounced dead at the scene, and Molina was airlifted to a regional hospital. No update on her condition was available.

Neither were wearing their seatbelt, the FHP reports. Please buckle up any time you get behind the wheel.
