Expedition to Borneo 2020
Donation protected
In the summer of 2020 I am hoping to go on an expedition to the Indonesian island of Borneo.
This adventure has been a lifelong dream as Orangutans have always fascinated me, as you can see by my photo. When I was 7 I won a prize for a film (below) I made about orangutan conservation and now I have a chance to actually go there to help save them and their ecosystem.
I am going to Borneo to do a range of voluntary work. This will benefit the poorest Indonesian communities and work to improve their most vulnerable environments as well as their local infrastructure. Every hour 95 acres of forest is destroyed, places like Borneo are under perpetual threat of deforestation, this forces species you have never even heard of to extinction. These funds will help me work with others to improve infrastructure, water security and education facilities alongside environmental conservation work. You can find out more about what I will be doing here
These issues are so important to me and I believe they have to be addressed to make a difference to those less fortunate in society and help save our struggling environments. Without funds there are no volunteers and volunteer work can make a huge difference, any contributions will help create a more sustainable future.
Thanks for your support, it means the world to me and will help me contribute to making the world a better place.
