The Legend Continues - In-Vitro Fertilization Cost

Hey Everyone, We're Lionel and Kristen Sims! 

Thank you for taking a moment to view this campaign! If you know us personally or watched our video, you might know that the past few years have been overwhelming to say the least. At 19 years old, Kristen was diagnosed with pre-mature ovarian failure. In 2018 we conceived our son, Lio Legend Sims, through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Lio was born at just 24 weeks and 5 days gestation and after spending 106 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), we were able to bring Lio home. We were blessed to have 6 1/2 months with our miracle baby before he passed away in 2019. To this day, it's difficult for us to even consider walking through the same doors and going through the same process we went through to make our Lio a reality, yet, because of Lio, we have the gift of hope.  After a lot of thought, many conversations and unceasing prayers, we have decided to go through the IVF process again. If you’re not familiar with the process, going through IVF includes frequent consultations with medical specialists, doctor visits, psychological evaluations, legal agreements, shots, shots, and more shots, and...just a lot.

Our baby boy showed us what it means to keep fighting, and that's what we plan to do. Our goal for this campaign is that you would hope with us, pray with us, and, if you’re willing and able, help us reach our ambitious target of $35,000. We believe that there is most certainly a miracle available to us!

While we know that no outcome is guaranteed, we believe every dollar of support could bring us a step closer to bringing a new life into the world and that would be the greatest gift we could ask for. Please understand that when we say “THANK YOU,” we mean it with our whole heart!
