EVERY CHILD DESERVES CLOTHES THAT FIT

ALBIE SAYS “WE GOT THIS”

The loss of our baby boy Albie is something we never could have prepared for. On the 17th November 2021 at 20.57pm our lives changed forever. A wave of emotions hit us from the proudest moment that we’d just become a mummy & daddy to our gorgeous boy, to the hardest heartbreak not hearing him cry. Our baby was just too eager to enter the world, but as we kept telling him he was just too beautiful for this earth.

During our 5 days spent with Albie we realised that it’s the little things that helped us the most. From hand and footprints to treasure forever to having tiny baby clothes to dress Albie in things that during this time were a complete whirlwind to us.

With Albie only weighing 1lb 1oz (our tiny little boy) there wasn’t a great selection of clothing, I even attempted to cut premature and tiny baby clothing down to his size but even then, were still too big for him. But having him in the outfit that they did eventually manage to find brought me and Karl an extra bit of comfort during a difficult time.

This is why we have decided in honour of our baby to set up a go fund me page. What we would like to do with donations we kindly receive is to buy outfits for babies who are smaller than premature/tiny baby clothing and donate them to the labour/neonatal ward for parent’s who have had the same experiences as ourselves to provide them with some comfort.

In future, me and Karl will be setting up fundraising events in memory of our little boy and eventually with enough support be able to commence our very own charity for Albie to support anyone also going through this heartbreak. As you may have noticed from the top of the page eventually our dream will be to register a charity called ‘Albie says “we got this” so keep a look out for future events.
