Eugene Oregon Bail Fund

We are living in a sick time, where the color of your skin can determine if the police will protect and serve or shoot and kill you. It's a time where many Americans regardless or race or Creed can no longer stand by and watch as the police of our nation repeatedly murder our countries black mother's father's s,brothers,daughters and sons. It's a time where many like myself are ready to take our anger to the streets in the form of peaceful protests until, the powers that be are forced to change their crooked ways. Often in these peaceful pursuits of justice and equality for all ,the very officers charged with protecting the people fabricate charges to arrest the blessed souls brave enough to stand up to the powers that be. I have seen this trend of judicial malfeasance many times more so in the last few years especially when it comes to protesting the murders of black men and women at the hands of police. More protests will occur in the coming weeks in Eugene and around the country, meaning more ficticous arrests and charges brought against those who choose to use their rights of assembly and freedom of speech to protect the freedoms of us all. My inspiration came from programs such as the Brooklyn bail fund and the minianplos freedom fund and the realization that, none of us are made of money, many regular working class Americans; an untimely arrest can cause friction in our day to day lives ,deterring us from protesting further and accomplishing the goals of our enemies which is to silence the people. I want to start this fund so that ANY protestors arrested in the Willamette Valley area may swiftly be bailed out of jail and provided wit adequate legal assistance so that they may continue to go on and fight the good fight without the fear of petty (or sometimes even serious) criminal charges they can't afford to fight being brought against them. Right now it's only me and my college aged children attending protests here in Eugene documenting protestors who are arrested so that we may contribute to their bails or legal funds but it isn't much, in the coming weeks we hope to add more people and contributors to our cause so that we may eventually be able to make this fund available over all of Oregon or even nationwide. Please find it in your heart to give anything you can or tell a friend. I'll be attending all major protests in the area and ready to help
