Ethan Newman Music Education Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Christopher Tafoya. Last year I started a podcast called The Remembering Ethan Podcast, to celebrate the life of a dear friend who lost his life to COVID complications early in the pandemic of 2020. He was a talented bassist, and a beautiful person who touched the lives of many people through his charisma, talent, kindness, and positivity. On the podcast I talk to his friends, family, and musicians who performed with and knew him. When I asked Ethan's parents for permission to start the podcast, his father asked that any money raised through podcast be donated to the the SOUNDS Academy in Phoenix, AZ; which is a non-profit music education organization that teaches, mentors, and provides musical experiences and opportunities for underserved youth. Since I do not generate any income through the podcast, I've decided to create this GoFundMe campaign to raise money so that it can be donated to provide instruments and lessons for one or more of those underserved youth. It is a way to spread the love and joy of music that Ethan exuded during his time with us, and it also fulfills his dad's request for the podcast. I will take the total amount raised and donate it directly to SOUNDS Academy in Ethan's name. Thank you for considering my fundraiser.
