Essential Supplies for Napa/Sonoma

UPDATE: First run of supplies was purchased & delivered on 10/10 to the Santa Rosa Verterans Memorial Building, less than 24hours after this Go Fund Me was started.  Hoping to do a second run on Friday! 

Total Spend for this run: $1726 (goods) / $121 in van rental/transportation costs. 

Details: 
Money is being raised to buy essential supplies for those who have been displaced and devestated by the fires. 

Goal is raise as much money as quickly as possible to get critical provisions - food/clothing - to those who've been displaced. 

Supplies include (but are not limited to): basic clothing (underwear/socks/t-shirts) for adults & children, packaged food, diapers, and formula. As needs change and grow, we will add core necessities to this list.

In the coming day, I will moniter this and other relief related sites to get additional information on what supplies are needed. If enough money is raised, we* will distribute to multiple shelters. Otherwise, will focus on one.

Aim will be to make sure everything purchased can be used and of assistance immediately. 

What:
As more details emerge on what is needed, additional supplies will be added the to list. For now, we will focus on the essentials of undergarmets/socks, t-shirts, diapers, baby formula, packaged food, and clean pillows & blankets. 

Where donations will go: 
Due to the extensive damage there are a LOT of shelters. For now, I will focus on delivering to: Veterans Memorial Building and Hall, 1351 Maple Ave. (Santa Rosa), sonomacountry.ca.gov. If this changes based on need, or if we raise enough money to add more shelters, I will update this. 

When: 
All supplies will be delivered by Friday, 10/13. This is to allow for enough time for money to be raised. If enough money is raised before then ($1k), then action will be taken sooner. This site will be updated to reflect movement on this front. 

About me: 
San Francisco resident with lots of friends, family, and loved destinations that have been devastated by the fires.
