Escuelita 2018 @ El Centro

Its that time of year again!

We need your help for our upcoming 2018 summer session of Escuelita.


El Centro is a volunteer-run, radically inclusive "for the community, by the community" space on the lower Westside of Santa Barbara.

We learned so much during the past two summer and spring sessions and are excited to expand upon our creativity and passion.

Our free 5-week community summer program aims to empower our westside children and youth to learn (and teach others) about:

-Decolonization,

-Ethnic, gender and intersectional environmental studies,

-Santa Barbara hxstory,

-Identity development,

-Solidifying connection/ support to community, ect.


Escuelita will provide age appropriate and engaging  workshops to youth and children ages 5 and up, from July 9th  to August 3rd, culminating  in a "Decolonize Fiesta" event and community share back in August. 

Last year donors like you, helped us raise $1,750 which allowed us to provide daily meals to all youth participants and stipends to our youth interns.
