Ernestina Arismendez Memorial Expenses

Hi, my name is Valerie Arismendez, and I have created this fundraiser for my mother Ernestina Arismendez.

In May of this year, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. In July, doctors informed us she had stage IV cancer and needed to undergo chemotherapy treatment. Anyone who knows my mom knows how strong of a woman she's always been. She loved all of her family, immediate and extended. Her heart was so big and pure you could always count on her for anything with no judgment. This time it was our turn to be strong for her.

She went to multiple doctor appointments and chemo treatments. We were told we could have an additional 3-5 years with her if she continued to move forward with treatment. Not too long ago we were told cancer in her breast had shrunk but we saw my mom continue to grow tired and enter a fragile state. She was taken to the ER where she was admitted. We were told one of her lungs was entirely white and cancer had spread into her bones. This was a bit of a shock because her CT scan from 3 weeks prior did not show any signs of this. The hospital began medication to try to stabilize her. Unfortunately, the day after she was admitted we were advised that there was not much that could be done for her. She peacefully passed surrounded by loving family on December 15th, 2022.
