As many of you know, the last two years have been a total financial struggle for my family and I. We left our home in Hayward to be closer to our support system/family in the valley while I underwent chemo for stage 2 breast cancer. Since we had noooo idea what we were facing, I thought it would be best to be near family and friends who could help with the care my 3 kids while I was sick. We have been staying with family members & friends who we are so grateful to :) and in hotels off and on for the last two years so it has definitely taken its toll on us. It took me awhile to get back to work, but, Im happy to say, I am back to work with an awesome company and my future is brighter than ever!! I am at a place where I can finally afford to get my life back and give my kids the life they deserve. I am however having a hard time saving up in order to get my own place, due to paying others rent or renting rooms, which is making it incredibly difficult to become the self sufficient woman/mother Ive always been. I am usually not the one to put my personal business out there like this and ask for charity, but at this point, I need to do what I have to, to get my kids settled once again, so that they do not feel so displaced.
