Erica's Recovery and Care

This is for Erica.  She and I were together for 11 years, and  she was always there when a friend needed help or there was a service commitement that no one else woud meet.  We split up last year, and while she struggled afterward, she never quit trying to make her life better.

In October she was hospitalized after an assault.  She actually died in the ambulance,  and was in the hospital for a month with injuries that included a separated shoulder, a collapsed lung, and subsequent bouts with pnemonia.  She still requires daily infusions of antibiotics and blood.  

She has had her car repossessed, is without a place to live, and is unable to work.   She was unemployed for some time before the incident, and is unsure if she will be eligible for disability. 

I have helped with the car, but she needs some long term assitance and financial support that I am unable to provide.  She has no other family able  to help, and is in dire need.  NOW.

Funds will be used to help find her a secure place to stay, and pay for food, clothing, keep up car payments, and all the necessities that we take for granted when we are able to care for ourselves.

She doesn't know about this yet, but after seeing her for the first time in over 8 months, I heard her story, and couldn't NOT do something.
