Please help us battle Erica's brain tumor

PLEASE HELP MY WIFE TO OVERCOME THIS HORRIBLE BRAIN TUMOR.

My name is Dave, I am a husband to my beautiful and caring wife. Erica Sanchez and proud father of three children, Ethan (9), Montserrat (3), and Mathew (2). We live in the small town of Porterville, CA. My wife was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. We are in dire straits for some help with upcoming Medical Expenses, and family support to deal with all the liabilities that come paired with this treatment. Loss of income due to me wanting to take care of my wife for the duration of her recovery etc.

Monday the 19th of October was the afternoon, that ill never forget. Even though we had our fair share of bad luck in life dealing with the curveballs that were being thrown at us ( I am sure everyone experiences those from time to time), this was one bitter pill to swallow. It was this afternoon that my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This was the most devastating news I had ever received. My wife has always been there for me, and our kids. When we barely met in 2005 a year later in 2006, i got involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident, it left me pretty banged up broken several bones etc. She was the one that took care of me during and after these 15 or so surgeries. Never complained, she was always there by my side. Since I am a native Dutch, and during these days I was in the US to go to college and play baseball but had to return back home, because I could no longer attend school, and sure could not play anymore. On top of that the insurance advised to come back home for further treatment, since I could not claim it to the other's parties insurance.

My wife, and girlfriend at that time, she didn't even hesitate by deciding to go to Europe with me. Now that was dedication. So we thought we would be back in Europe for about a year or two tops so I could get additional treatment, but then in 2008 the crisis kicked in and were kind of bound to Europe, where I felt for years that I deprived my wife from her family in the US. In 2016 we were finally able to come back to the US, after being in Europe for 10 years. We were hoping for an American adventure/American dream that things would be better, but unfortunately it now seems its turning into some sort of a nightmare. At this point we can definitely use every bit of help.

Now since I'm Dutch, this is definitely something I debated to do or not. I feel almost guilty for asking other people for money. I also have no way on knowing how I can repay anyone if they decide to donate. We can't put an exact number on the treatment, I know there will be costs that are not going to be covered, and I think our share incl. coinsurance/deductibles and then loss of income will be around the $35.000-$50.000 range. Its also a bit harder, because my family is all in Europe, and can't even fly over here at the moment due to the travel ban relating to Covid.

I am sharing our situation, because we need help. If you can find it in your heart to make a donation to help us out, our children will be shown that there are still very loving and caring people in this world that believe helping others is key. Even if you are unable to donate, you are still able to help us, by sharing this news/donation request, and maybe others can donate.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read this, and contribute to the recovery of my beautiful wife, and our amazing mom.

Best regards/Met vriendelijke groet,

Dave
