Funeral Expenses

This is my brother-in-law Julie. Julie was diagnosed last week with stage III multiple myeloma. There is no cure for this - and there are only 3 stages to this particular cancer. The oncologist gave him up to 3 months to live. This is a hard truth to swallow - and even harder for my husband. My husband has been Julie's caregiver since their parent's passed away in 2008. He is responsible for Julie's care and he lives with us. Julie is a paraplegic since 1998 when he was shot in the back while hanging out with friends steps away from his house. This cancer has now affected his arms and he is no longer able to feed, bathe, or get himself dressed. Needless to say - it has been a very trying time in the household. Family has pitched in and we are all taking shifts caring for Julie in his final months. 


Julie does not have life insurance.  We were shocked when we recently learned the outrageous costs associated with a proper burial, and we have limited money to contribute.  Watching his brother pass away is difficult for my husband - but not being able to properly send him off will destroy him. I am starting this account on behalf of my husband - because he would never ask.  He is a very proud man who promised his mother and father that he would take care of his brother and he does to the best of his ability. It's hard to ask others for help - let alone donations, but there is no other way. Thank you.
